Terry Shea

Terry Wakefield Shea – Born and raised in Ripley, Tennessee, attended the University of Mississippi and graduated sum cum laude from the Art Institute of Atlanta. Terry and her husband John have lived in Hoover, Alabama since 2002. They have one daughter that attended Simmons Middle School and graduated from Hoover High School. They are active members of Riverchase United Methodist Church.

Terry has 40 plus years of experience in a retail diverse background with responsibilities in retail store management, multi-store buying, manufacturing and multi-store management. She has worked for such notable companies as The Limited Corporation/ Express Stores, Nike, The May Company, and Proctor and Gamble.

Currently, she is co-founder and co-owner of Wrapsody, Inc. a unique and trendy gift boutique with locations in Hoover’s Patton Creek shopping center, downtown Auburn and a web store -Wrapsodyonline.com.

She sits on the boards of Alabama Retailers Association, Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce and the National Retail Federations Small Business Board. Mrs. Shea is active in advocating for small business issues on a state and national level, making annual trips to Washington D.C. meeting with legislators from across the state. She testified before the Small Business Subcommittee on Investigations, Oversight and Regulations regarding the Department of Labor’s 2016 Overtime Rule, stressing the detrimental effect this regulation would have on small businesses and their employees.
