A Letter from Mayor Brocato
When I became Mayor, one of my first initiatives was creating LEADERSHIP HOOVER. Building a strong city requires cultivating strong leaders. The objective of LEADERSHIP HOOVER is to connect leaders who are inspired and have a love for our city and a vision for moving Hoover and the region forward. In May 2018, we graduated our inaugural class and already we have seen several initiatives born out of that initial group. I am very excited to announce our 7th year of LEADERSHIP HOOVER which includes a class of adults who live or work in the Birmingham-Hoover metro area. It is comprised of leaders and aspiring leaders who want to make a difference in their communities. Congratulations to those chosen participants. As LEADERSHIP HOOVER continues to grow, I have no doubt this organization will continue to be a strong voice in our city.
Mission
The purpose of Leadership Hoover is to develop a class of qualified, highly motivated individuals who are interested in expanding their leadership skills, deepening their sense of civic responsibility, and becoming more involved in helping their community as a whole while learning first-hand about the issues and needs in the City of Hoover.
